Student's Phone Survey The reservation wedge: labor supply of college-educated women in Pakistan" (Phase I to IV)

Project Description :

Only 25% of women with a university degree work in Pakistan. This implies the misallocation of talent, with largely negative consequences for output (Hsieh et al., 2019). In this study, we surveyed male and female students in the graduating cohort of a large university in Pakistan about their labor and marriage market preferences.

Services provided by Versatile :

Versatile Consultants’ Field Data collection team, in collaboration with the London School of Economics and MIT team of researchers, undertaken a comprehensive data collection project. The specific focus of this endeavor was to gather valuable insights from university graduate students at the University of Central Punjab (UCP) through telephone calls.

Recruited a team of extensively experienced and well-qualified professionals specializing in data collection.
Facilitated online training sessions to equip the data collectors with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Conducted a comprehensive telephonic survey targeting parents of university students, evaluating the alignment of student preferences and beliefs with those of their parents.
Utilized the Survey CTO platform, a robust online tool, for efficient and reliable data collection.
Developed a meticulously designed tracking sheet to monitor and track the progress of the data collection team.
Implemented audio recording techniques to ensure the highest standards of phone survey data quality.
Shared the raw data collected with the client’s analytics team for further analysis and insights.
